Sizing Giude

I use measurements, Bust, Waist, and Hip in Inches. Look for a gown your size or slightly larger that you can take in. I do try to stock a wide range of sizes.

Measurements

Since bridal sizes are so ridiculous I ignore them and use inches.

  • Bust (B) ~ This is the circumference around the fullest part of your chest.

  • Waist (W) ~ Your smallest circumference around your stomach—usually just an inch or two above the belly button.

  • Hip (H) ~ The fullest circumference around your pelvic/buttocks area.

  • Waist to floor ~This is the straight distance from your waistline to where the dress will hit the floor.

Keep the tape measure level when measuring and get help for the best results!

If traditional sizes don’t fit you well, like most of us, look for a dress that fits your largest circumference. You will then have the gown taken in to fit your smaller areas better.

ALWAYS look for a dress slightly bigger, never smaller. You can have it taken in, but rarely
can they be taken out.

I recommend staying within 5 inches to avoid drastic alterations.

Stock

Since I only upcycle one of each gown, the sizes I have in stock often fluctuate, but I try to maintain a variety and carry just about every size, including plus sizes up to 32W.

My most common sizes are between a standard 8 and 20W, as those are the easiest for me to source and sell.

I source most of my sample gowns from Lorien Bridal in Glendale, CA. She is geeky, size-inclusive, alternative-friendly, and just amazing. She has all the unique colorways from more mainstream designers. Check her out if you can’t find anything from me.

If you have time, sign up for my newsletter to see the newest gowns listed.

If you are low on time, I’m sorry your size is sold out. I wish I could serve everyone better, but as one person, I do have limitations.
